Opel or "Adam Opel GmbH" is an auto company that started in Germany. This company had its start in 1963 and started making cars in 1899. General Motors bought the company in 1929.
Opel models include Corsa, Astra, Vectra, Omega, Vauxhall, Holden, Saturn, Chevrolet, Subaru Traviq, Cadillac Catera., Saturn L-Series, Malibu and Cobalt and more.
Adam Opel GmbH (commonly known as Opel) is an automobile manufacturer based in Germany. The company was founded on January 21, 1863, and began making automobiles in 1899.
One of the best selling models in the United States was the Opel Kadett from 1964 to 1972 the Opel Manta from 1971 to 1975 and the classic Opel GT, which sold from 1968 to 1973.
Opel sold the strongest in Japan with sales up to 38,000 in 1996. But sales declined and the company thought of closing in 2005 but by 1999 Opel celebrated 100 years in car production.
In 2009 Opel unveiled its latest model the Opel Ampera and is still going strong today.
