Zorb or Zorbing is a sport developed in the 1990's that consists of rolling downhill inside a transparent sphere (or ball) called a Zorb. Zorbing is an Extreme Sport. Find Zorb Information and Products.
Do you love unusual extreme sports? If so Zorbing may be for you. To Zorb, a person climbs into a big transparent Zorb ball that is usually made of plastic. They are strapped down inside so they won't be tossed around (and to prevent danger or injury) and then the ball is rolled down a hill.
Zorbing was invented in New Zealand by Dwane van der Sluis and Andrew Akers who thought of the idea in 1994. They invented the word "Zorb" to name the sport and ball. The people riding inside are called zorbonauts. Water is sometimes added to the ball to add to the excitement and some balls can carry more then one rider. To prevent
problems of fitting inside the riders don't always use harnesses when there are two or more inside. The Zorbing sport is slowly spreading around the world.
The Zorb ball is like a ball within a ball with an air layer between. This gives more shock absorption for the riders. Plus the plastic is very flexible opposed to the hard plastic used for a hamster ball.
Commercial locations have opened up for Zorbing where riders pay a fee for each ride or for the whole day. The United States has several commercial Zorbing locations including Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and Pigeon Forge Tennessee where you can experience this new sport.
On this page you will find Zorb balls to buy, plus accessories. Other type of inflatable balls may be found too. Cheapest Zorbing Balls avaliable. Zorb Fabric and rental.
