The Piper Archer is part of the Piper Cherokee family. The first Archer aircraft is the PA 28 180 Archer. It is a four place plane with fixed landing gear. It can carry up to 2,450 Pounds (1,111 kg) and was produced in 1972.

The PA 28 181 Archer II is also a four place fixed wing aircraft that can carry a bit more weight then the Archer I at 2,550 pounds (1,157 kg). It came out in 1973 and is very similar to the first Archer except that it has a tapered wing. The last of the Archers the PA 28 181 Archer III come out in 1994 and is very similar to the Archer II.
